Chart notes
OLIVERIO prompted the pace from the outside, moved to engage into the far turn, took over with about three furlongs remaining, edged clear under coaxing soon after, opened up under solid handling in mid stretch then remained well clear while kept alert to the finish. DOUBLE THUNDER , three deep early, circled four wide with some progress into the stretch, gave willing chase from there and denied an inner foe for the place. CITY OF GOD , off a bit slow, raced between rivals nearing the five eighths, was under asking saving ground past the five sixteenths, remained towards the inner rail through the lane, kept on with effort to the inside of DOUBLE THUNDER but was edged for second. HANDSOFFTHEGOODS , off the pace while saving some ground, angled out around the final turn, shifted to the center of the track leaving the three sixteenths but failed to generate a serious response. LITTLE STEVEN cleared early, set the pace towards the inner rail, failed to contain the winner near the three eighths, angled out after that one cleared, chased into the lane then faltered through the final three sixteenths.
