Chart notes
TEXAS CYCLONE took a short lead heading into the first turn, handled outer pressure while under nice rating through the backstretch and final turn, responded and went clear along the inner rail soon into the stretch, opened up under a drive past mid stretch and was kept busy to the wire. GRAND ILLUSION latched onto the winner into the first turn, pressed two wide from the outside for six furlongs, failed to match strides under a drive into the lane, pursued on the left lead through the final furlong and continued willingly to be well clear for second. STEFAN'S TITLE , between foes leaving the seven eighths, raced outside a foe past the five eighths, shifted three wide nearing the lane and got past faders. LICENSE TO STEAL , a bit fidgety in the gate, reared up at the break, was used four wide into and around the first turn, chased the leaders to the lane and faded. MOHTAFIL saved ground and gave way through the drive. Following a stewards' inquiry, it was determined that LICENSE TO STEAL did not get a fair start and was declared a non-starter.
