Chart notes
HONOR POINT , four wide early, shifted in after the leader wandered well out in the track, rated kindly while stalking, crept closer past the three eighths then moved to command about a sixteenth later, spurted clear under a drive in upper stretch, kept on under strong handling inside the sixteenth pole and held sway. DYNAMIS settled off the pace, gained towards the inner rail mid way on the final turn, worked outward near mid stretch and closed nicely. SOUND OF VICTORY settled off the inside then was coaxed along between runners leaving the far turn, swung out wide for the final three sixteenths and rallied mildly. GIANT MOON stumbled at the break, lost ground four wide a long way, chased between foes near mid stretch and came up empty. AMERICAN CAUSE brushed the outer portion of his stall, straightened and rushed up early, saved ground leaving the three eighths then faded under mild hand asking past mid stretch. SPONGE BATH cleared early then wandered well wide when headstrong into the backstretch, remained well removed from the inner rail while setting the pace, ceded command to the inner winner near the five sixteenths and weakened.
