Chart notes
MR. DISRESPECTFUL stalked from inside, saved ground following the leader on the turn, give his cue entering the lane, surged to the front, drifted out while kicking clear midstretch and was kept busy to the wire. MIDNIGHT MAMMOTH tracked off the rail, took aim three to four wide on the turn, bid three deep at the quarter pole, was no match for the winner but was able to secure second. BARTHOLDY lacked early quickness then moved forward up the backstretch, stalked in the two path on the turn, tipped out for the drive, chased within striking distance into the final furlong but could not produce the needed late kick. WHISKYGINANDBRANDY tracked widest in the early going, angled to the three path early on the turn, came five wide into the drive and failed to rally. NIJINSKY HALO set the pace early, crossed over to the inside, led three wide into the lane, challenged by rivals on both sides with a quarter mile remaining, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. KIMMER settled off the pace, trailed under a ride from inside on the turn and came up empty. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate times.
