Chart notes
SLIPPERY SILK saved ground setting the pace, came two-wide into the stretch and maintained a safe advantage. SHADY CREEK raced in the back of the field early, rallied four-wide into the stretch, angled in leaving the three-sixteenths pole and finished fast. LITTLE MINNIE MO chased SLIPPERY SILK racing two-wide, came three-wide into the stretch and finished well in a steady effort. BELLE OF EDMONDS was allowed to settle, moved forward on the turn racing three-wide, came four-wide into the stretch a nd went evenly late. LOTSA KITTY raced in the middle of the field, came four-wide into the stretch and was gaining slightly late. DENADA was allowed to settle, came six-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. ROXIE'S SECRET saved ground racing in the middle of the field early and weakened. SWINGIN INTHE RAIN saved ground while being unhurried and failed to be a factor. DESIGNATED RUNNER started bucking shortly after the start and was quickly pulled up and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING DESIGNATED RUNNER BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
