Chart notes
DUST DANCER forced the pace inside a foe but off the rail, edged clear, held sway under steady handling. HE GONE vied outside early then settled to stalk the eventual winner three deep, shifted to the rail near the three-eighths tracking and saving ground, kept on inside and held place. ON THE MONEY RED was lightly bumped early, stalked in behind outside three to four wide through the turn, floated out five to six wide for the drive and evened out late. JIMMIES BIG DAY was forced in a bit early bumping a rival, gained forward position just off the leader stalking three to four wide, went evenly. MISTER SHARPIE bumped with a rival at the start, was about mid-pack near but off the rail, swung six wide leaving the turn, was never near enough to threaten. PURPLE OCTOPUS was lightly bumped and in a bit tight early, moved out racing outside off the pace, went three to five wide on the turn, ran on but needed more. TRICKY MOMENT bumped with a foe at the start, raced well back inside, was never a threat. COOL MEMORY was urged from the start and among the very early leaders but quickly dropped back between foes, raced well off the inside through the turn, was not a factor.
