Chart notes
THE GREAT OSCAR reserved off the pace to race near the rear of the pack to midway on the far turn while looking for options to obtain racing room, angled five wide turning for home when none were presented and closed fast in a determined drive to be up in time. DIVER stalked the pace saving ground well in hand through the far turn, cut the corner turning for home, rallied up the rail to take the lead in a tight battle inside the eighth pole, took a bad step at the sixteenth pole to bobble and quickly recovered to just miss in a very game effort. LETS GET IT ON set the pace on a well rated, well measured lead, responded when challenged turning for home and couldn't see it out weakening in the final eighth. TAPIRS VALOR pressed the pace from three wide the entire trip, loomed midway down the lane and weakened in the final furlong. MAXIMUM FAITH tracked the leaders racing five wide down the backside, rallied on the outside to loom leaving approaching the quarter pole and flattened out in the stretch. READY SET CAIRO hesitated a bit when the gates opened, was squeezed back when the hole was closed a step away from the gate to be the trailer and was never a factor from there.
