Chart notes

MR PERCY (IRE) saved ground while jumping well, moved to the outside leaving turn four, hit fence nine then was roused, went around the final turn in the three path, moved towards the outside rail while rallying in upper stretch, closed well to get the lead outside the furlong marker and held off the runner-up under strong urging. CYBER NINJA tossed his head while rank early, was reserved off the pace, struggled over fences six and seven, rallied in the three path into the stretch, closed well to make a bid inside of the winner in the final furlong but missed while well clear for the place. LYNCHES KNOCK (IRE) settled at the rear, struggled some over fence six, dropped in into the final furlong and improved for the show. DOCTOR LOVE (FR) went to the front, was keen while in hand on the first turn, jumped well while leading, opened up a sizable advantage on the second turn, continued well in front while shortening stride on the final turn, drifted out in upper stretch, was collared by the winner outside the furlong marker and tired. MORNING MARCH tossed his head while rank early, saved ground while jumping well, was taken up a bit while landing over fence seven, pursued the leader under urging on the final turn and lacked the needed response. LORD FLINTSHIRE jumped well off the pace, came outward in upper stretch and failed to respond. FAMOUS FIGURE (IRE) became rank after clearing fence two, was reserved off the pace, bobbled landing over fence seven, was late at jump nine and hit the fence then stumbled leaving and failed to respond. VINTAGE YEAR was keen under tight restraint on the first turn, jumped well towards the front and faltered then was eased but walked off. FINAL TIME WAS OMITTED DUE TO A TIMING ISSUE
