MARY GOODNIGHT was under a hard hold going three wide close to the back around the first of two turns, stalked outside rating kindly down the backstretch, started to uncork a rally three wide at the three-furlong pole, swooped around runners making a bold move four wide with a quarter mile from home, loomed a menacing presence widest in the six path at the top of the lane and powered past with authority by the sixteenth pole for the late running win. SCOTCH MIST was ahead of only the poor starter in the beginning, galloped along setting into a good rhythm down the backside, angled out being asked for more run three wide at the quarter marker, shifted five wide at the top of the lane and had a solid late rally passing inside runners driving to the finish line besting the rest for the place share. LAPIN DE PLAGE chased outside for the first half of this two-turn event, closed in forcing the pace outside two wide on the final bend by the quarter pole, grinded away in the battle between runners through the stretch drive and determinedly fought on late to get up for the show money in the shadow of the wire. SOUPER GIN'S WORLD cleared away getting to the rail heading into the first bend, was unchallenged slowing the pace down smartly along the back straight, was headed outside with five sixteenths to go, spurted away again scraping paint cutting the corner, offered no resistance when the winner charged past with a sixteenth to run then faded inside coming to the wire losing the place and show awards very late. TAP THIS WAY settled in midfield initially, dropped back slightly inside runners down the backstretch, had the fence with no room to lengthen stride behind runners at the three furlong pole, waited on the rail around the far turn, shifted just off the fence at the top of the stretch and finished with interest mildly improving between horses in the final furlong. TRACY ARM travelled between horses in the middle of the pack, was urged for more two wide between runners making no progression on the second turn and lacked a rally in the three path down the lane. KOOL KAROLINE kept tabs on the front two going three wide in the early stages, made little movement three deep along the backside, was scrubbed on midway through the far turn making a gradual run, had a chance for a small share four wide straightening out for the drive but yielded to others between with a sixteenth remaining. SILVER GAL broke a step slow trailing the field in the early stages, narrowed the margin on the group around the last turn but could only manage to pick up a weary runner in the final furlong. LITA MARIE had a good spot nestled on the rail sitting just back off the leader around the first turn and throughout the backstretch running, saved ground being roused for more chasing but making no gain on the lead on the last turn, skimmed the fence turning for home but folded inside of rivals in the last furlong.
