Chart notes
SMOKESHOW tracked the leader down the backstretch, challenged for the lead outside HOTTER THAN FIRE near the three eighths pole, dueled around the turn, asserted herself when set down in upper stretch and pulled away. HOTTER THAN FIRE set the pace near the inner rail, dueled with the winner around the far turn, failed to match strides with that one in the lane and held the place. TIZ COMPLEX , three wide the first turn, stayed outside the top pair when making a move on the far turn and failed to sustain the rally. GOOD AXE raced along the inner rail most of the trip and gave way. JUSTMYMAGINATION saved ground the first turn, swung to the five path on the backstretch and was not a factor. STAR OVER MALIBU , five deep entering the first turn, was not a factor and dropped back. LINE OF FROST raced in the four path on the first turn and dropped back leaving the far turn.
