DOUBLE EDGE SWORD sped to the front, set a pressured pace in the two path around the turn, opened a clear lead in upper stretch and held sway under steady handling. NEWYEARSBLOCKPARTY remained along the rail, was patiently handled around the turn, altered course in mid stretch and finished gamely. REVEREND MOON prompted the winner from the outside and finished willingly. CURLINS CRUZIN , four deep on the turn, failed to rally in an even effort. CUT GLASS raced in the two path inside horses on the turn and weakened. UNIWINNER , two wide on the turn, swung to the six path in upper stretch and was outrun. BIAGIO hugged the inner rail on the turn and was not a factor. WORA dwelt in the grasp of the assistant at the break. Following a stewards' inquiry, WORA was declared a non starter.
