Chart notes
BACK STREET BABY saved ground under rating while not far back, edged up to have aim past the five sixteenths, came out under left handed asking and bumped CAJUN ACES when working outward for room near the three sixteenths, straightened away and switched over to her correct lead, closed stoutly under a drive to take over from the inner leader inside the sixteenth pole and eagerly went clear. CAVA DE ORO went clear in the opening sixteenth, secured the inside and set a rated pace, kept rivals at bay near the quarter pole, spurted away under a drive in mid stretch, kept on gamely but was unable to deny BACK STREET BABY'S outer charge. PERFECT DIXIE LADY , four wide early, worked inward for the backstretch run, raced two wide into the stretch, dropped closer to the rail for the final furlong and finished with good energy. CAJUN ACES prompted the pace two wide, was under pressure pursuing inside foes past the quarter pole, was bumped and herded outward by BACK STREET BABY near the three sixteenths, regrouped to chase past mid stretch and continued on with effort. CHICKA CHICK stalked three wide early on, took closer order and chased between runners past the five sixteenths, steadied when bumped and in tight leaving the three sixteenths and faded. MO SKY , behind a pair of rivals early, angled out and gained four wide outside a rival around the final turn, was brushed when chasing outside runners past the three sixteenths and came up empty. CLEARLY BELLA broke in the air and was away last, was taken five wide early on, gained outside horses past the five sixteenths, failed to sustain in upper stretch and weakened. Following objections by the riders of CAJUN ACES and CHICKA CHICK, BACK STREET BABY was disqualified from first and placed fifth for causing interference in upper stretch.
