Chart notes
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE tracked the pace on the inside of SOLITUDE DUDE, vied in the two path while asked on the turn, dueled inside of the aforementioned foe in the stretch, battled under a left-handed crop to the finish and gamely prevailed under strong urging. SOLITUDE DUDE came outward just after the start, stalked the pace on the outside, was given his cue in the three path on the turn, made a bid late on that bend, dueled outside of the winner in the stretch, fought gamely under a right-handed crop to the finish and was denied while clear for the place. OBLITERATION broke out and bumped with ROCKIES BALBOA, settled off the pace, swerved in near the eleven-sixteenths pole, moved closer late on the backstretch, drafted inside to the two path on the turn, brushed with a foe while nudging his way out a path in upper stretch, pursued the top two to the finish and lacked the needed kick while clear for the show. AMERICAN MAN brushed the outside of the gate at the start, moved up to get the lead then showed the way, was asked while inside on the turn, lost the advantage in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. WHITE SMOKE RISING bumped with a rival and was off a step slow, angled in at the rear with about six furlongs to run, moved from the two path to the five path while getting closer on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response then just missed the superfecta. GILDED BANDIT bumped with a foe at the start, settled off the pace after being urged early, was forced in sharply by OBLITERATION near the eleven-sixteenths pole, raced in hand late on the backstretch, shifted from the rail to the three path while roused on the far turn, turned into the stretch under a right-handed crop, was brushed and nudged out a path near the three-sixteenths pole then came up empty. ROCKIES BALBOA was bumped by OBLITERATION at the start, settled on the outside, moved closer while urged along in the four path on the turn, chased into the stretch and had nothing left.
