Chart notes
NAPA SPIRIT (IRE) was urged from the start, set the pace shifting nearer the rail up the backstretch, raced on or just off the rail on the turn, kicked clear leaving that bend, held sway while kept to task. GIVEMEMYTHEMEMUSIC was bumped and steadied slightly after the opening sixteenth, settled off the pace racing inside into the turn, came out five wide in upper stretch, secured place and was gaining on the leader but too late. PINE KNOLL bumped a rival early and was in a bit tight, made an advance outside on the turn three to four wide, got show but could make no headway late. HIGHLAND LIFE stalked the eventual winner from outside and just off that rival racing two to three wide on the turn, was asked at the top of the stretch but only ran on evenly. IMPERIAL GOLD was bumped into a foe and in tight early, tracked in behind the eventual winner saving ground inside, weakened. HARPER CITY was urged at the start, checked when in tight after the opening sixteenth, raced at the back, fanned six wide into upper stretch, failed to menace. RED PHARAOH was bumped into a rival early, settled outside a foe well off the pace, went two to three wide on the turn, was never a threat.
