Chart notes
MELODITY prompted the pace from the inside, bid inside foes around the turn, dueled with CASTING CUPID from the head of the lane, wrested a short lead near mid stretch, edged clear under a drive then held sway. HOT AND NASTY showed speed then eased back off the leader to track two wide, shifted out four wide into the lane, chased the embattled leaders past mid stretch then finished up willingly to the inside of DIXIE CUP MARTINI while narrowly earning the place. DIXIE CUP MARTINI broke slowly, regrouped and moved up four wide leaving the five eighths, chased past the five sixteenths, angled five wide for the drive and closed steadily. CASTING CUPID showed speed three wide then edged clear near the half mile marker, dug in when confronted by inner foes mid turn, sparred past mid stretch then weakened late. AUNT DEE , five wide pursuing into the turn, failed to respond.
