Chart notes
BRIGHT LADY DAY tracked three-wide in the second flight, advanced four-wide on the turn to engage the leaders, swung five-wide into the stretch, and finished well under steady handling to run down the leader in the final yards. PATTY'S GIRL tracked between horses just behind the dueling leaders, moved up early on the turn to bid for the lead, put a head in front past the quarter pole, had a narrow lead in upper stretch, gave a game effort but could not hold off the winner in the late stages. CONSTANT CHATTER bobbled at the start, settled at the rear, closed well late, but was outkicked in the final yards. DEEP DESIRES dueled outside from the start, fought on gamely between rivals through the stretch, but yielded late. BETTER HAVE CASH was part of the five-way scramble for the early lead, dueled through the turn with DEEP DESIRES, then gave way in upper stretch. WILLOWY tracked just off the pace, lacked room approaching the turn, found racing room entering the stretch, loomed, but lacked the needed response late.
