Chart notes
SPICY CANTALOUPE soon made the lead and edged clear to dictate terms from just off the rail in the two path, widened leaving the turn and in upper stretch, held sway under mild urging. LOLITA J stalked from outside three wide into the turn, was encouraged along coming to the five-sixteenths, made no headway on the winner but was second best. O'HARA AT DAWN was up close tracking the eventual winner from inside, saved ground on the turn, weakened in the stretch. ATRAXA was mid-pack off the rail, moved out from the two to the four path on the turn, ran on evenly and made no bid. CUPIE CUTIE broke a bit awkwardly, raced at the back inside a foe off the inside, went into the turn in the four path moving out seven wide by the top of the stretch, ran on. LADY ARTIST was outpaced early racing off the inside, went three then five wide on the turn, failed to rally. HOLLY SPRINGS broke outwardly and a step slowly, lacked early speed, raced outside foes five wide into the turn, shifted in at the five-sixteenths, failed to menace.
