MAMUKA rated early on, tracked leading pair to the half-mile, loomed three wide upper stretch, took command and kicked clear to the final sixteenth, challenged late by POCKET PAIR, lasted for the win. POCKET PAIR settled, steady gain inside to second turn, got caught in traffic into upper stretch, continued to be blocked nearing the furlong marker, angled out, closed fast and just missed for the win, while well clear of the rest for the place. IMPERIA BLUE close up, pressed pace two wide to the far turn, vied to mid-stretch, yielded to top pair in the late going, held for show. SLEWTY PRINCESS hard sent, set contested pace to the far turn, dug in to mid-stretch, gave way, outfinished for show. SMART STYLE fractious in the gate, off slow, settled outside, no factor.
