JACKPOT ROCKET was fractious in the gate, broke out then bumped hard with foes on both sides, dropped back into the kickback near the eleven-sixteenths pole, climbed greenly into the kickback outside the half-mile pole, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, was roused into the stretch in the five path and improved to just miss the place while clear for the show. SUBJUGATION veered out at the start then bumped with JACKPOT ROCKET, was well placed down the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path under urging and came up empty. APOTHEON was bumped in the hindquarters at the start, chased the pace, went around the turn in the three path, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. ROLL WAVE shied out early then angled in early, settled on the outside, went around the turn in the three path, spun into the stretch in the four path and capitulated. CHIEF OF STAFF was bumped hard while last away then forced out badly while slow into stride, spotted the front several lengths, was urged along at the rear, rounded the turn in the four path, dropped to the three path into the stretch and trailed.
