SPA PROSPECTOR dueled on the inside under the wire for the first time, shook clear on the rail in the first turn with the early speed foe having trouble taking the corner, rattled along unchallenged under a brisk pace down the backside, continued to free wheel on the last turn with little pressure applied by the rivals and had more in the drive to hold on from the fast closing runner up at the finish line while setting a track record in the process. AMERICATHEGREAT had the rail inside two others sitting in the middle of the pack, began to pick up the bit two wide at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the four path gathering speed outside foes turning for home, was closing in with every stride in the final furlong but could not get to the winner in time. FAITH UNDERSTOOD was bumped by the inside foe trailing in the early stages, started to reach for more ground two wide at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path at the top of the stretch and finished with intent in the last eighth of a mile getting up for the show money outside. MEW N ME veered out at the start, settled in midfield between rivals on the initial bend, had an inside tracking position well of the loose frontrunner down the backstretch, inched up on the rail on the far turn by the quarter pole moving comfortably, angled to the two path with a chance to get the winner in upper stretch, but could not find more late and evened out with a sixteenth to run getting nabbed by the outside foe in the late running for the third place share. ADA CLARE broke out sharply at the start, took back near the rear going two wide on the first of two turns, progress mildly on the rail down the backside, saved ground but could not make any headway on the second bend, angled to the rail for the final furlong and had some run late passing tired ones. NONNA'S LOVE battled on the outside initially, conceded the outright lead when having be throttled down having trouble to navigating the first turn, tracked the solo leader outside while well back at the half, narrowed the margin on the pacesetter two wide outside another on the last turn but was ridden on to do so, shifted to the three path giving way fighting up top in upper stretch and tired between horses at the furlong pole. SNOW FLOWER was bumped by the inside foe then had a domino effect bumping into the outside rival at the start, had trouble making the first turn going four to five wide, stalked close to the rear outside down the backstretch, made no gain while three wide on the final bend and came up empty in the stretch run.
