Chart notes
MINDBLOWER was slow early, closed steadily and wore down his rivals to get up in the final strides. FEAR THE CRUISE pressed the pace four wide, challenged three across on the turn, dueled to the sixteenth pole, inched clear and was caught near the wire. DASHING AMERICAN bumped at the start, pressed the pace along the inside, dropped back into the turn, bid off the rail and got up for show in a steady bid. HOLDWHATYOUGOT bumped at the start, set the pace to the turn, responded to duel, faltered near the sixteenth pole and lost position. AMERICAN SECRETS hit the gate to be off a step slowly, put in a steady effort and failed to menace. FORWARD OBSERVER pressed the pace, challenged between horses on the turn, dropped back and gave way. SPEND AGAIN was slow early, bid inside on the turn and came up empty. AMERICAN KNIGHT trailed the field in an outside trip and showed little. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction, and it was re-timed using video technology to obtain the most accurate final time available.
