Chart notes
ESSOS tracked two wide into the first turn, dropped off the pace trailing the field, picked up stride passing a couple rivals on the far turn, spun four wide into the lane, set his sights on the leaders in upper stretch, drew alongside NEWTON with a sixteenth remaining and drove clear to win going away. NEWTON chased along the inside into the first turn then shifted to the two path, went up to apply pressure to ON THE BURNER from outside, headed that rival on the backstretch, put a head in front at the quarter pole, carried a short lead over ON THE BURNER into the final furlong, put that rival away midstretch but came under threat from ESSOS shortly after and could not offer any resistance. ON THE BURNER cleared and crossed over, took pressure from NEWTON around the first turn, headed by that rival on the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, lost the lead at the quarter pole, stayed with NEWTON to midstretch, then weakened in the last sixteenth. COLLMUS broke a step slow, chased three deep around the clubhouse turn, coaxed along then asked left handed on the backstretch, started to lose ground three then four wide on the far turn and weakened in the lane. DON REBELDE was rank early along the inside, dropped back on the far turn, eased in the lane and walked off.
