MISS MANDALAY (GB) showed the way up the backstretch, pressured by MARIAN CROSS (GB) at the three-eighths pole, maintained short lead under patient handling to the eighth pole, given her cue midstretch and held gamely under flagging from the right handed crop in the last sixteenth. SWEET GAL OF MINE stalked between rivals, got put in a bit tight at the three-eighths pole, went two then three wide around the turn, bid three deep in the lane, fought outside the winner late and lacked the needed final kick. NO CAP raced up close on the inside, drafted behind the leader through the turn, roused in upper stretch, finished determinedly in the final furlong and gained third. COMEBACK GIRL came away slow and spotted the field a couple lengths, angled to the inside and chased just out of range, shifted to the two path midway around the turn, lacked room in traffic midstretch, tipped out to a clear path and missed third. MARIAN CROSS (GB) forwardly placed from outside or three deep, challenged the leader at the three-eighths pole, hounded that rival into the final furlong, fought between runners midstretch and weakened late. O K ROSE trailed early, passed a rival while traveling two to three wide on the turn, angled out in the lane and failed to threaten. CONFIDENTIALITY chased three deep into the turn, continued three wide to the stretch, moved out and lacked further response. DIAL A FRIEND was reluctant loading behind the gate, chased the speed four deep, moved out to the five path briefly on the turn, dropped back to last, came three wide into the lane and weakened.
