GYPSY TEARS traveled three deep at the rear then outside a rival, angled in leaving the backstretch, was on the move through the turn saving ground, stayed on the fence and moved into range in upper stretch, drew alongside THE BIG CHEESEOLA with a sixteenth remaining and bested that rival late. THE BIG CHEESEOLA dueled from inside, inched ahead at the half-mile pole, led clear around the bend, showed the way under right handed urging into the final furlong, came under threat from rivals on both sides and yielded grudgingly to the winner. DES DOIGTS dueled from outside up the backstretch, chased after THE BIG CHEESEOLA two then three wide on the turn, challenged that rival past the eighth pole, finished gamely three deep but lacked the needed late punch. NOVINOPHOBIA traveled near the back, stayed well off the rail, went four then three wide on the turn, tipped four wide leaving the bend, angled out further in upper stretch and kept on to earn a minor award. GEEZER sat off the pace in the early going, took the turn four then five wide and needed to find more to threaten in the final furlong. DEVIL MOON stalked the top pair from outside, chased three then four wide on the turn and weakened. DIRTY WORDS raced inside a pair of rivals at the back, had one beat two wide through the turn and failed to menace. NIJINSKY HALO broke through the gate prior to the start, traveled in mid-pack early, asked two to three wide on the turn and lacked a rally. BRO BRO took up when put in tight racing between rivals at the back, trailed four to five wide on the turn, eased in the lane and walked off.
