Chart notes
FANCY SAILOR stalked from the two path, bid outside of the top pair and from the four path into the far turn, vied entering the lane, forged an advantage into the final furlong as an outer rival had aim then held firm thereafter. ROYAL CAUSEWAY laid off of the pace in the two path, progressed into the far turn, shifted out to the five path to range up outside of the leading trio turning for home, ran on to sustain his bid through the final furlong but was kept at bay. BLACKMAIL prompted the leader from the three path, vied into the backstretch, led as an outer FANCY SAILOR bid into the far turn, maintained an advantage in the two path from the one turning for home, but got headed at the furlong grounds and yielded. BRAVE FORCE tailed along the inside, inched closer in the two to three path around the far turn, shifted to the five path in upper stretch and failed to menace. KNICK'S HONOR set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer rival down the backstretch, yielded at the five sixteenths pole and faded. AGUILA NEGRA broke through the starting gate and was briefly loose pre-race, rushed the starting gate again as the final horse loaded, leaned out and was off flat-footedly at the stat, tracked from the four path, faded in the five path into the far turn and was eased through the lane.
