SLAYSTER leapt ,brushing the inside part of the gate on the break, settled into stride close to the rear while inside another down the backstretch, began to reach for more ground three wide at the midpoint of the turn, angled to the four path posing a menacing presence outside straightening out for home and determinedly wore down a stubborn pacesetter in the late stages for the stretch running win. LOHAN broke in at the start, was hustled along battling inside setting a rapid pace in the early going, had a slim advantage on the rail with the outside rival unrelenting prompting the issue outside around the turn, spurted away scraping paint putting away the early speed rival by the top of the stretch, kept trying valiantly through the lane under a busy ride but was nabbed by the winner in the late going outside. SMOKIN EMPIRE was taken a hold of leaving the gate trailing in the beginning due to a couple of runners bearing in at the start, advanced on the rail through the back straightaway to have a good position inside watching the embattled pair at the half, edged up on the turn on the fence by the quarter pole, hugged the rail entering the stretch, could not make any headway on the front two who had it to themselves in the last eighth of a mile but finished up well enough inside two others to get the nod at the finish line for the show money. FOREVER FROSTY was forced in by the outside runner on the break to trail down the backside, started to make a run picking up an outside rival with three eighths remaining, saved ground closing the gap on the turn, shifted out to the three path off horses at the furlong marker and surged late for the minor award just missing outside for the nod for show at the wire. FLYONBYE was away alertly in the mix up top in the early going, smartly took back off the heated pace to track the engaged pair outside another by the half, closed the gap two wide in tandem with an inside foe through the turn, shifted four wide between foes in with a chance turning for home, was no match for the front pair in the final furlong and needed just a little more late when outkicked by runners on either side for the show award in a photo finish. HOWSITGOINOWEN was one of only two runners getting a clean start breaking on top early on, dueled outside down the backstretch as well as around the turn setting a rapid pace while separating from the field, had nothing left in the tank giving way fighting for the lead two wide in upper stretch between horses and emptied out in the final furlong. AU CONTRAIRE hopped on the break, stalked near the rear outside another while in the three path along the back straight, could see the field when passed by an inside runner at the three eighths marker, had little to offer in the turn running, lost touch with the group at the top of the lane and cantered in.
