Chart notes
TAKEITAWAY vied between rivals on the lead from the start, continued to battle gamely through the stretch, still between rivals, got a head in front late, and held on narrowly to the wire. BIKINI MARTINI was four-wide down the backstretch run, continued three-wide through the turn, took the lead in upper stretch, bumped twice with TAKEITAWAY inside the final sixteenth and came up short at the finish. ADIOS KID hopped at the start and was off slow, settled wide down the backstretch, kept a wide path but advanced through the turn, made a mild bid in the stretch but hung in the final furlong and was unable to threaten. GRAYHOP pressed the pace two-deep to the half, took up sharply at the seven-sixteenths marker when put in tight, lost momentum and was unable to recover. ONTHEWAYJIMMY contested the early pace along the inside, remained a threat to mid-stretch, but weakened in the final furlong. IRISH SPARK raced at the back of the field but not far off the leaders move out to the four-path for the turn, but lacked a late bid. THE JOCKEY ON #3 GREYHOP LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #5 BIKINI MARTINI ALLEGING INTERFERENCE NEAR THE 7/16 POLE. AFTER A LENGTHY REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THE OBJECTION.
