Chart notes
ROCK TUNE tracked the leaders from the inside saving ground, cut the corner turning for home and rallied well up the fence to be going away at the wire. SWEET CAROL JAMES set the pace on a clear early lead, responded well when challenged nearing the quarter pole, dug-in through the stretch but could not match the winner late. SERENE WATERS unhurried to race at the rear of the field and put in a good belated bid to just miss the place. KATHLYNS PHALANX stalked the pace from four wide through the turn to be well placed turning for home, loomed in upper stretch while drifting wide and was outkicked in the final furlong. LIGHTNING LANE pressed the pace to threaten at the quarter pole and weakened in the lane to fade from contention. NEW DIAMOND was not a factor.
