Chart notes
MAKI MONARCHY broke outward bumping with GOT STRIPES, corrected and settled off the pace and about three wide, took closer order leaving the far turn, shifted out five wide for the drive, closed in steadily under pressure, switched over to his correct lead inside the sixteenth pole, sustained a grinding run to take over in deep stretch and was edging away at the wire. GOT STRIPES , bumped from both sides at the start, took over inside rivals heading to the first turn then pulled clear, set a rated pace towards the inner rail, spurted away after being set down in upper stretch, kept on with good effort but was unable to deny the winner. DOWNTOWN MOTOWN , off a couple lengths slow after breaking outward and hitting the gate, regrouped and settled off the inside, edged up between runners leaving the five eighths then dropped inside to continue progress, chased into the lane, worked outward in the final furlong and churned on. ELIGIO stalked three wide, was under pressure pursuing past the five sixteenths, shifted further out soon into the lane but came up empty through the final seventy yards. ROCKY ROCK IT drifted in at the break and bumped with a rival, straightened and prompted the pace two wide, bid to apply pressure into the turn, was kept at bay while three wide in upper stretch and weakened. MAX S settled off the pace while saving ground, was under pressure around the final turn but failed to generate a serious response. CHAHTA CITIZEN lagged back and failed to get involved.
