Chart notes
SPARKLET broke inward leaving the gate, stalked the pace while four wide, moved up alongside DEAL EM in the far turn, dueled gamely in the stretch and edged clear. DEAL EM vied for the early lead outside of SMART LAD, gained a short advantage but was soon joined by SPARKLET, dueled determinedly into the stretch but weakened late. GUCCI BOY tracked outside, lodged a five-wide bid into the lane, and closed gamely. GLAVA stalked along the rail, was shuffled back in traffic in the far turn, and passed tiring foes. LEMON MERINGUE bumped at the start, met traffic leaving the backstretch, and lacked a kick when asked. SMART LAD contended the early pace, was unable to move on with foes and tired. SPACE stumbled at the start, then chased five wide, but had nothing left in reserve late.
