Chart notes
STEEL laid off of the pace in the two path, crept closer down the backstretch, stalked from the three path around the far turn, progressed in the four path and between horses at the quarter pole, bid outside of the leader entering the lane then edged clear. BAYTOWN BRUISER stalked along the inside before moving outside of the top pair entering the backstretch, bid outside of the top pair nearing the three furlong pole, led leaving the five sixteenths marker, but got caught by an outer bidder in upper stretch and kept on to be second best. HOUSE UNITED laid off of the pace in the three path, inched closer along with an inner foe down the backstretch, chased in the four to five path around the far turn yet stayed on willingly. FOUNTAIN RUN set the pace along the inside, met a pair of outer challenges early on the far turn, got headed by his widest challenger passing the five sixteenths pole then faded entering the lane. HORSE OF THE SEA saved ground at the rear, tipped to the three path into the lane, shifted wider and made little impact. INDY ROAD raced close up two wide, bid between horses into the far turn but weakened at the quarter pole and faltered.
