STONEVICIOUS sat in striking distance while three wide, lodged a bid at the three-eighths pole, swept the lead then drifted out under left-handed encouragement while carrying out LOVE PACK ten wide and held on after a long drive. LOVE PACK rated well off the pace, shifted out entering the final turn, fanned four wide, was carried out steadily through the stretch by STONEVICIOUS. STORMY BLUE set the pace from the rail, was overtaken nearing the quarter pole, and wilted. HOLIDAY'S AGAIN stalked the pace early, and tired. STEWARDS INQUIRY and JOCKEY OBJECTION- An objection lodged by the rider of LOVE PACK against the rider of STONEVICIOUS alleging interference in the stretch run. STONEVICIOUS was disqualified and placed second for interference to LOVE PACK.
