J D FACTOR broke alertly, stayed off the rail sett the pace, was challenged by FALFURRIAS leaving the far turn, responded and drew clear under a vigorous ride. FALFURRIAS , three wide the first turn, cruised up three deep to bid for the lead near the five sixteenths pole, finished willingly but was second best. CHANCE , a forward factor well off the rail, finished evenly. ENGLISH PAINTER hugged the inner rail throughout and weakened.
