TAGERMEEN stumbled badly at the start and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, angled in outside the three-quarter pole, gained while going from the inside to the five path on the turn, rallied into the stretch, came in a path at the three-sixteenths pole, closed to get the lead under a left-handed crop outside the furlong marker, moved clear while switched to a right-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and held under a confident hand ride in the final sixteenth. FACT was hustled from the gate, showed no speed while ridden along on the outside, gained while moving from the three path to the six path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, pursued TAGERMEEN under a right-handed crop into the final furlong, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, gained on the aforementioned foe who was under a hand-ride late and missed but was clear for second. ROCK MUSIC broke a bit awkwardly, was well placed just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, clipped heels near the five-sixteenths pole, came through a wide opening while asked into the stretch, took the lead before the three-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker and was outfinished while well clear for the show. PRIVATE DESIRE was hustled from the gate, disputed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. UNBROKEN CHAIN disputed the pace on the inside of PRIVATE DESIRE, vied along the rail on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and faded. PRETTY BOY MIAH was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, had his path taken while dropping back into upper stretch and capitulated. FOLLOWING THE RACE, THE RIDER OF PRETTY BOY MIAH CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE WINNER ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. AFTER THE STEWARDS' REVIEW, NO CHANGE WAS MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH
