Chart notes
PAYNES SPIRIT was bumped at the start, pressed the pacesetter from outside, asked for run at the top of the stretch and quickly took a narrow lead, edged away under steady handling. CARNEW broke outwardly, quickly went to the lead to set the pace inside shadowed by the eventual winner, was challenged by that one leaving the turn, proved no match but fought on gamely while second best. YACHT BOY bumped a rival at the start, settled at the rear, came out a bit leaving the turn, gained show honors inside a foe. WAGNER chased from inside the second flight, swung four wide into upper stretch, failed to rally. BACHELOR PAD switched out in the early going moving up outside a foe to stalk from the second flight, swung out five wide for the drive and steadily weakened.
