Chart notes
RASPBERRY WINE stalked the early pace to the turn, made a bid for the lead past the quarter pole, dueled outside of HIGH BANNER into the stretch, wrested command in the final furlong and held sway to the finish. HIGH BANNER rushed up after a slightly tardy start to take the lead near the half, was pulling hard on the rider through the turn, then responded when confronted by two rivals to the outside approaching the stretch, dueled with RASPBERRY WINE into the lane, and yielded grudgingly in the late stages. BIG SWAG broke best and went to a narrow lead, ceded the lead to HIGH BANNER before the half, fanned three-wide to the head of the stretch, hung as the other two pulled clear, then came back on near the wire but was too late. TAG ME was taken back off the early pace, swung out six or seven wide at the top of the stretch, and was mildly gaining in the late stages. WARREN'S C J lacked any early speed and was far back early, kept to the inside path and improved position in the stretch. GOLDEN AGENDA raced very wide and well off the pace down the backstretch, dropped down to the rail for the run through the turn, moved up but could not sustain the bid and flattened out. THIRSTY MAMA hustled forward to contest the early pace between rivals, dropped back midway through the turn, came out four-wide into the stretch and stopped. CALIFORNIA BLING briefly vied five-wide in the early pace battle, dropped off the pace before the turn, and steadily retreated to the rear.
