Chart notes
RAMBLIN BETTS set a well rated pace on a well measured lead, kicked away when called upon nearing the quarter pole and drew off unchallenged as much best. ARTICLE stalked the pace to the far turn, lost position on the bend while saving ground and ralied well in the lane to be up for the place. TWIST 'N TWIRL reserved in mid-pack for five-eighths, closed ground on the turn to be prominent and showed good interest in the stretch while unable to outkick the top pair. SNOVEMBER unhurried to trail for the first half mile, mounted a steady bid on the far turn and was gaining with a belated bid down the lane. IPLEDTHEFIFTH broke through the gate pre-race, was re-loaded upon review, tracked the leaders throughout and went evenly failing to mount a closing bid. MR. COLOSSAL was rated off the pace near the rear of the field, remained near the back through the turn, swung out wide for clear racing turning for home and failed to respond. HE'S A PISCES prompted the pace to the final turn, moved to engage the leader on the bend, failed to close the gap chasing the winner to midway down the lane and gave way in the final furlong. OH' WHAT A DAY was not a factor.
