Chart notes
MO THE MERRIER coaxed from the gate, pressed the pace of RELATIVE RISK from the outside three wide before advancing to duel with that rival coming under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, took over command spinning just off the inside at the quarter pole, drew clear under a drive to prevail. RELATIVE RISK broke last without incident and then advanced inside to take command five furlongs from home, showed the way in hand along the inside under pressure from the aforementioned foe to the outside, had that rival get on near even terms and dueled through the turn from the three-eighths pole when placed to coaxing, got headed for the front taking the inside route into upper stretch, ran on to chase the winner home clear of the rest and along second best. GRAND GESTURE brushed the off side stall at the start and then brushed COST EFFECTIVE, chased just off the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. ONEPAC chased five then four wide under urging from the five-sixteenths marker, spun four wide into upper stretch and tired. THE STANDARD three wide in pursuit, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths remaining, tipped four wide into upper stretch and tired. COST EFFECTIVE got brushed at the break by GRAND GESTURE breaking outwards, chased just off the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, continued in the two path into upper stretch and tired.
