Chart notes
P J'S BOY set all the pace, drifted out to the middle of the racetrack under left urging bumping repeatedly with the runner through the stretch up and lasted. MIDNITE KINGS FATE settled four wide, loomed boldly outside the leader in upper stretch, was carried wide and bumped repeatedly by that one and finished well clear for second. EL CANELO ONE chased the pace along the inside and had no rally. REDDEN chased the pace two wide and failed to respond. SCIOTO was no factor. SAMMY'S HALO stalked the early pace three wide and was through after a half. INDY'S HOPE trailed. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND THE TRAINER OF MIDNIGHT KINGS FATE LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF THE WINNER FOR INTERFERENCE THROUGH THE STRETCH. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED P J'S BOY AND PLACED HIM SECOND.
