APALTA veered out at the start then was corrected by the rider, dropped from the four path to the two path early on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged along while moving from the two path to the four path on the far turn, gained into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed kick while able to secure the show. PINEAPPLE MAN was sent hard from the gate, rounded the first turn in the two path, prompted the pace on the outside, took the lead at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the two to three path on the far turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, lost the advantage at the top of the stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. GOOD BALI dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the rear, was urged along in the two to three path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the four path while under a drive and was no factor. INDY RAGS was hustled from the gate, traveled around the first turn in the four path, settled outside under some urging, dropped back outside the half-mile pole, rounded the far turn in the four to five path and failed to threaten. HEY TOBY was hustled to the front, raced inside on the first turn, showed the way on the inside of an opponent, lost the advantage at the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back along the rail on the far turn and stopped. LAUGHING BOY was hustled from the gate, saved ground on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace, came under urging outside the half-mile pole, dropped back while inside to the two path on the far turn and retreated.
