BACKSTREET EMMA stalked close to the tail end with rivals on both sides, inched up between foes going two wide through the bend, was scrubbed on for more looming boldly four to five wide at the top of the stretch, pounced on the inside rivals at the furlong pole seizing control and won going away impressively. WHISKEY OVER WINE prompted the pace outside initially, took back outside still keeping a close eye on the pacesetter midway down the backstretch, continued to have aim on the frontrunner between rivals throughout the oval, shifted out to the three path with horses on either side making a bid at the top of the lane, could not match strides with the winner outside by the furlong pole for the win but did dig in nearing the wire to get the nod outside in a tight finish for the runners up share. ALEATORIC was well placed nestled on the rail behind the pack setter down the back straightaway, sat poised on the fence on the fence waiting for instructions by the rider when to make a move, shaved the corner to be in the conversation battling up front by the quarter pole, was no match for the winner in the final furlong and finished up willingly just missing inside needing a picture to determine the second place runner at the finish line. PERFECT RING had a good spot on the outside tracking the front two in the second flight, travelled three wide on the bend closing at the three eighths pole outside, swung out widest in the five path unable to quicken with the leaders in upper stretch and finished up one paced in the last eighth of a mile holding for a minor placing. NO FRILLS settled on the fence near the rear, dropped back to last with the field bunching up some onthe turn at the half mile marker, had the two path passing an outside foe straightening up for home but lacked any further of a rally in the stretch drive. HOLY ANITA was unhurried travelling three deep at the back of the pack in the early stages, made no headway going outside of horses trying to circle three to four wide around the bend, had the four path for the stretch drive and could only manage to pass the tiring early frontrunner in the final furlong. BALLET BEAUTY narrowly had the advantage inside in the beginning, shook clear setting the pace by the three quarters marker still under a snug along the backside, remained up top with little pressure from the outside rivals while getting a slight breather slowing the tempo down a touch on the turn running, was collared on both sides clinging up front in the two path at the head of the lane but had little left late folding between horses by the furlong marker.
