Chart notes
EL JOY was reserved off the pace while saving ground, angled out to be four-wide leaving the three-sixteenths pole and finished fast to be up in the final seventy yards. WINDS OF FREEDOM set the pace racing two-wide, responded when challenged by LIL RICHARDS BELLO at the eighth pole and held on gamely to the wire but wasn't quite good enough. LIL RICHARDS BELLO was allowed to settle racing three-wide, offered a bid nearing the eighth pole but lacked the needed late response. YOU'RE THE CAUSE was unhurried, rallied four-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. CAUSE FOR DIVORCE chased WINDS OF FREEDOM early racing along the inside and tired. DRIVE TRAIN saved ground racing in the back of the field and trailed.
