Chart notes
LIBBY LLOYD broke alertly and went straight to the front, showed the way while drifting well out in the track, moved in leaving the backstretch, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole and drew off under a moderate hand-ride to prove much the best. GROVES was hustled from the gate, tracked the pace on the outside while fanned well out in the track, moved in leaving the backstretch, chased in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. FREE VERSE was hustled from the gate, chased between horses early, dropped back in tight quarters and steadied briefly outside the five-eighths pole, raced at the rear, became rank behind horses in the two path coming to the three-eighths pole then checked, was held up behind foes while continuing to steady some until the five-sixteenths pole, dropped to the rail then was let out and advanced while roused, shifted to the three path into the stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened while far clear for the show. RAGS TO ROSES was hustled from the gate, chased the early pace, was carried out outside the five-eighths pole, raced just behind the leader, moved in late on the backstretch, chased inside for most of the turn then moved to the two path, dropped back into the stretch while moving back to the rail and capitulated. TUMOOHAAT played up in the post parade, chased the early pace, was carried out outside the five-eighths pole, continued to pursue the leader under urging, dropped back some in the three then four path on the turn, raced between horses late on that bend, dropped back while shifting to the five path into the stretch and had nothing left.
