RED PHARAOH broke out to begin, recovered to press the issue outside down the backstretch, continued outside hounding the pacesetter around the oval, moved in three wide at the top of the lane seizing control, did not switch leads in the stretch run, dug in determinedly having rivals bearing down on either side with a sixteenth to go and prevailed at the wire for the gutsy win. HARPER CITY had the fence keeping tabs on the leader, was urged to go after the front duo two wide at the quarter pole, moved out to the four path in the thick of things in upper stretch, finished gradually outside but could not get to the winner late and got up for the place share timing the nod perfectly at the wire. DISSECTOLOGIST travelled in the third flight isolated on the rail, opted to wait on the turn taking the shortest way around behind horses, darted through shaving the corner to be in the mix at the top of the stretch, but needed more late unable to threaten the winner in dep stretch and just getting nabbed outside for the place share at the finish line outside. BANKER'S HOURS broke in at the start, shared the rear inside another with a half mile still to run, took the short way on the turn advancing inside a couple of horses at the five sixteenths pole, angled to the two path for the stretch run and finished up with good late energy to settle on the fringes in the end. GRAN SPIRITED was bumped by the outside foe at the start, had the rail in mid-division along the backside, kept pace shift out two wide in midturn and ran on one paced in the stretch battling for a minor share between foe while never switching leads throughout. BIG BABY HENRY broke inwards on the break, settled into stride outside in the middle of the pack along the back straight, offered a brief run three wide at the quarter pole closing in, swung out widest in the six path in contention for a piece of the prize at the top of the lane but stalled outside foes in the last eighth. BOLD RELOAD broke in at the start, recouped to have a narrow advantage inside down the backstretch, inched away increasing the lead at the half, offered no resistance when collared outside on the turn at the quarter pole and yielded between foes by the sixteenth pole. JAMIESTA was in tight between horses on the break, co-trailed outside at the half, could see the field while travelling three wide around the bend, angled to the four path straightening out for home and could only pass tired rivals in the drive to the finish line. AWE INSPIRED had a good spot tracking the duo outside, was hard ridden two wide on the turn chasing the leaders in vain, angled to the three path for the derive to the wire but flattened out between horses in the final furlong. SNOOKERED stalked three deep on the outside of two others down the backstretch, made little impact between horses on the turn, was relegated to the rear with a quarter mile from home and could not factor in the stretch running.
