Chart notes
IN SPITE OF IT stalked the pace, was carried out leaving the turn, closed willingly, assumed command past the eighth pole, drew off under left handed urging and won going away. GO WATER pressed the pace two across, challenged for the lead on the turn, swung wide entering the stretch, dueled to the eighth pole, was no match for the winner and finished second best. SOPHISTICAT trailed the field in an outside trip and offered a mild bid to be along for show. SAPELLO SWEETEE set a pressured pace, responded when challenged to duel, tired mid stretch and stopped. STORMY DAME flashed speed, dropped back and shifted inside to save ground, advanced along the rail on the turn and lacked a stretch response.
