Chart notes
CAPTAIN MERCURY hopped at the start, moved up to press the pace in the three path going into the turn, was coaxed along around the turn, bid in the four path at the top of the lane, led passing the furlong grounds, and held on. BOLD FACT bumped with an outer foe at the start, laid up close inside, was roused passing the three-eighths pole, ran on inside of an outer pair to bid inside the final furlong, and got up for place. RICHEZTOO showed the way while off the rail, waited in the two path around the turn, was cued passing the quarter, dug in between foes down the stretch, but got edged out on both sides. MR RANDY chased in the four path, was ridden around the turn, but flattened in the stretch. GOLDEN DESCENT tracked between rivals, was roused from the three path passing the three-eighths pole, but faded. ON THE LEVEL bumped with an inner foe at the start, was up close early, took back going into the turn, continued under coaxing in the two path around the turn, but did not threaten.
