Chart notes
ANDTHEWINNERIS prompted two wide, vied into and around the far turn, led with five sixteenths to go then drove clear in upper stretch. DEMOLITION DUKE set the pace as the eventual winner applied firm outer pressure, vied with that one around the far turn, got headed at the five sixteenths pole, proved no match while digging in for place in upper stretch, battled for that position with an outer pair late and gamely prevailed. WINSTON (ARG) tracked along the inside, closed in in the three path to take aim outside of the top pair at the quarter pole, but was turned away in upper stretch, dueled for place between rivals through the final furlong but missed at the wire. OVERSTATEMENT laid off of the pace along the inside, altered course out from the three to four path in upper stretch, ran on to bid for place in the final furlong but flattened out. LINCOLN HIGHWAY trailed in the two path and never got involved. ROYAL MAJESTY (GB) raced forwardly near the inside, but went wrong approaching the half mile pole, was pulled up and transported off of the track in an equine ambulance.
