Chart notes
OPTIMAL TRIP settled in reach of the pace while saving ground, moved closer through the far turn then angled three or four wide into the lane and closed late to be going clear at the wire. SWIFT N TRAFFIC was on the pace about the three to four path inside a rival and pressed, continued into the lane and could not hold the winner safe. BRIGGSEY forced the pace from outside SWIFT N TRAFFIC throughout and could not produce the needed late run. PASSTHECAT saved ground off the early pace, moved four wide in the far turn with a mild rally then could not reach the top ones in the drive. GOOD PRODUCT stalked the pace from three wide, moved in on the far turn but lacked a final closing run. ITS A BOY failed to threaten four wide.
