Chart notes

COOL KISS settled in the back half of the field racing just off the rail, was encouraged along at the seven-sixteenths as a rival passed inside, was forced to go wide advancing outside leaving the turn fanning seven wide into upper stretch under a drive, struck the lead past the three-sixteenths, drew clear and held well under steady handling. WATSONVILLE RED was lightly bumped at the start, settled last but one, advanced inside a foe leaving the backstretch, angled out past the three-eighths, came four wide past the quarter pole, made a brief bid at the top of the stretch with a narrow and short-lived lead but was no match for the winner while clearly second best. GRANDSON was in just a hair tight at the start, unhurriedly brought up the rear racing just off the inside, advanced outside a tiring rival on the turn swinging four to five wide into upper stretch, was along for show. HE'S NOT JOKING stalked the leading pair racing under a tight hold up the backstretch, willingly advanced heading to the far turn, bid past the three-eighths taking a narrow lead but having to duel to the top of the stretch, was overtaken by outside foes at that juncture, could not keep pace but ran on. TAKEMETOTHEBEACH set a pressured early pace, dueled inside a new foe on the far turn under urging by the five-sixteenths but gave way in upper stretch. LIKE THE KING bumped a rival lightly at the start, was forwardly-placed forcing the pace from outside, dueled to the far turn then retreated three furlongs out. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC.
