Chart notes
MIDNIGHT VENGEANCE tracked from midpack in the four path, ranged up to bid outside of rivals at the five sixteenths pole, gained an advantage entering the lane, moved a touch wider and drove clear in the final furlong. HUTCHINSON stalked along the inside, moved out to the two path to bid outside of the leader entering the far turn, led leaving the seven sixteenths pole, got collared by an outer pair with five sixteenths to go, was headed by them entering the lane yet fought on to regain place late. FAST JOKER stalked from the two to three path, moved to press the new leader into the far turn, challenged along with an outer rival turning for home, vied between horses briefly before getting outkicked by his outer counterpart entering upper stretch, yielded while battling for place with an inner rival in the late stages and got outfinished. FITZGERALD chased from the two path, briefly between horses at the five sixteenths pole, took aim inside of rivals at the furlong grounds but lacked a bid. REFINED DESIGN raced off of the pace in the three to four path, shifted to the five path in upper stretch and failed to menace. POLITICS broke half a beat slow, trailed along the inside, surpassed a tiring rival turning for home and made little impact. DUKE OF SUGGINS broke a bit outwardly, sped clear early on but got headed by an outer pair entering the far turn then weakened turning for home.
